Pictet looks to expand in Dubai

Swiss bank Pictet & Cie, which opened an office in Dubai in 2007, is looking to expand in the region, according to reports in the local Gulf press.

Swiss bank Pictet & Cie, which opened an office in Dubai in 2007, is looking to expand in the region, according to reports in the local Gulf press.

Senior partner Ivan Pictet said the growth plans include applying for a Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) license, and establishing a team of fund managers in the region.

Pictet’s Dubai-based team currently numbers 11 professionals, and provides the full range of the bank’s products and services, including private wealth management, institutional asset management, funds distribution and Global Custody.

Office head Thibaut Tosello, formerly of UBS, is also responsible for the development of the bank’s wealth management business.
