Credit Suisse appoints new UK private banking CEO

Ian Marsh has been appointed new chief executive of Credit Suisse UK private banking.

Credit Suisse has appointed Ian Marsh as chief executive of its UK private banking business.

Marsh takes up the post on 1 November and will report to Maya Salzmann, head of market area UK/international/Eastern Europe in the private banking division and James Leigh-Pemberton, chief executive of the United Kingdom for Credit Suisse.

As managing director and chief executive of Credit Suisse’s UK private banking business, Marsh will be responsible for further developing the bank’s wealth management businesses in the UK. He will leverage the capabilities of Credit Suisse’s integrated bank to meet opportunities presented by the internationally relevant UK wealth management market.
