Alternative Investment Forum to return to London

By Spear's

Following the success of last year’s event, the Alternative Investment Forum will feature two highly specialised tracks – Timber Invest and Global Agro Invest – and promises to be an engaging and memorable event, delivering global updates on regulations and attractive opportunities.

Topics will highlight the status and opportunities in Timber and Agriculture and will look at timber investment as a growing asset. It will also focus on agriculture land as a profitable asset, Asia and impact investment and the impact of Biomass on timber prices.

The latest speakers confirmed for the 2014 edition are: Mr Marc Sadler the Practice Leader, Risk Management and Markets Practice, the Agriculture & Environmental Services Department of The World Bank who will be presenting on “Climate change, vertical integration and business resilience: why you cannot have one without the other” and Adrian Whiteman, Senior Forestry Officer (Economic Analysis) Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations who will be addressing the topic: “Investing in forests and people for profits”.

Delegates will also have the opportunity to attend two round table discussions in the asset and region of their choice, a new edition to the 2014 event.
