Felipe Massa Net Worth

Brazilian Formula One racing driver Felipe Massa has an estimated net worth of £11 million.

Born in Sao Paulo in 1981, Felipe Massa spent his early years racing karts in his native Brazil. He changed to single-seaters in 1998, making his presentation in the Brazilian Formula Chevrolet Championship and winning the arrangement the next year.

How did he become a millionaire?

He then moved to Europe where he triumphed in both the 2000 Italian and European Formula Renault titles. He followed that up by winning the Euro F3000 title in 2001, with six wins from eight races. He also found time for the occasional World Touring Car Championship appearance and earned himself his first Formula One tests with the Swiss-based Sauber team, which in turn landed him a race drive for 2002. Massa scored 4 championship points in his first season, his best result a 5th place at the Spanish Grand Prix at the Circuit de Catalunya.

Massa made his Grand Prix debut in Melbourne, qualifying inside the top ten, before crashing out in a multi-car pile-up on the first lap. Only one race later, however, he took his first title point with 6th spot in Malaysia. He would score another three that season, gaining popularity. Toward the end of the year he took after Peter Sauber’s recommendation and selected to spend the accompanying season testing for the group’s motor suppliers, Ferrari.

Massa rejoined Sauber’s race line-up on a two-year contract for 2004, cooperating Giancarlo Fisichella. Twelve focuses put him twelfth in the drivers’ title – one spot behind his partner – with a fourth place in Belgium his best result. For 2005 he was collaborated by previous champion Jacques Villeneuve, whom he upstaged time and again, scoring 11 focuses altogether, including the group’s last focuses with Peter Sauber as supervisor before the handover to BMW. As a prize, he was a given his race auto from the last round in China.

Massa was held by Ferrari for 2007 to accomplice Schumacher’s substitution, the very appraised Kimi Raikkonen. With Schumacher, Massa was obviously the number two, however with Raikkonen he had the opportunity to build up another group request. Notwithstanding, it was the Finn who had the edge – and the Finn who secured the title – and just the next year did Massa find the levels of pace and development expected to put his colleague in the shade. Before the end of 2008 he had assumed control as Ferrari’s true number one, pushing McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton the distance in the title race and at last passing up a great opportunity by only a solitary point.

Following an extreme 2 years, he came back to the platform interestingly since 2010 at October’s Japanese round. Before long, Ferrari declared that he would keep on racing for the group in 2013.

In September it was declared that he would be substituted at the Scuderia for 2014 by Raikkonen. The news appeared to light a flame under Massa, whose structure enhanced yet again. Persuaded that it wasn’t yet time to end his F1 vocation, he marked to race for Williams in 2014 close by rising Finnish star Valtteri Bottas.

After a few tough seasons in 2014, Williams extended his stay into 2015.

Massa retired in October 2016.
