Bordeaux Index, the leading fine wine merchant, has appointed Michael Spencer as Chairman

Bordeaux Index, the leading fine wine merchant, has appointed Michael Spencer as Chairman. Michael Spencer is the founder and Group CEO of ICAP, the world’s leading interdealer broker and member of the FTSE 100 index. In addition, IPGL the privately owned financial services investor has acquired a minority shareholding in Bordeaux Index.

Gary Boom, founder and managing director of Bordeaux Index said: “Michael has been a supporter of BI for many years and we are delighted he has agreed to join us as Chairman. With his unrivaled knowledge of the financial markets and love of fine wine I am sure he will make a substantial contribution to the next phase of our growth plans.”
