Sitting in a sleepy Hampstead café the evening before he was jailed for 13 years, the 48-year-old was eager to tell how he went from high-flying City trader to the recently self-confessed fraudster behind a £32m Ponzi scheme.
“I think the City is as much to blame for what happened as I am,” he said in his last interview before being placed behind bars. “Actually, that’s not right. I am completely to blame for my situation, but the City taught me a lot of my bad habits.”
