London the billionaire birth capital of Europe

According to a new study, more than one in every 100 of the world’s billionaires were born in London. Just over 3% of billionaires (52) were born in New York, and 1.3% (22) were born in Moscow, 21 were born in London, Hong Kong has produced 17 billionaires, while Paris and Istanbul are the birthplace of 12 billionaires each.

The study, conducted by high net worth data source Wealth Insight and Spears Magazine, shows how the balance of wealth has changed across the world’s cities, said Oliver Williams, one of the report’s analysts.
