On Thursday 1st December, Smythson and Brown’s Hotel celebrated the launch of their Christmas partnership with an evening of festive frivolities. Guests were invited to enjoy seasonal cocktails and canapes whilst marvelling at the festive display which features Smythson’s iconic Featherweight notebooks. The Wafer notebook decorations feature whimsical titles ranging from traditional seasonal sayings ‘Oh What Fun’ and ‘All That Glisters’ to delightful turns of phrase which include ‘Dancing on the Table’ and ‘The Cats Whiskers’ that adorn garlands of greenery and bedeck the spectacular Christmas tree in the main reception of the hotel.
Sir Rocco Forte and his daughters Lydia and Irene Forte were joined by London’s social and creative movers and shakers including actress Vanessa Kirby, Lady Kitty Spencer, photographer Sascha Bailey, curator Fenton Bailey, stylist Martha Ward and artist Quentin Jones.
Guests were served festive canapés – Brussel sprouts and pancetta tartlets, cider glazed pigs in blankets, seasonal duck with salted skin, Scottish smoked Salmon served on Melba toast and dill parfait – while sipping on Ruinart Champagne and Belvedere cocktails.
