New Patek Philippe collection debuts in Mayfair

Pragnell on Mount Street hosts the launch of the 2018 Patek Philippe Exhibition Collection

Pragnell celebrates the opening of its store in Mount Street showcasing the 2018 Patek Philippe Exhibition Collection for the first time. The exhibition, which features close to 100 ladies and men’s watches from the prestigious Genevan manufacturer, will include models from all regular collections such as the Calatrava, Aquanaut, Nautilus and Twenty-4 as well as 10 brand new watches revealed this year at Baselworld.

The new Pragnell showroom includes an in-store Patek Philippe area. According to Mark Hearn, the managing director for Patek Philippe UK, ‘Customers, collectors and watch lovers will have the chance to experience the pristine level of Pragnell’s service in a dedicated Patek Philippe environment.’

Charlie Pragnell, the firm’s managing director said, ‘We look forward to welcoming new and existing customers into our Mayfair showroom, where they will be able to peruse the new 2018 Patek Philippe Exhibition Collection.’

The new models include the Ref. 5205G-013, a men’s white gold Annual Calendar watch with a two-tone sunburst dial featuring a subtle black graduation to the circumference. The sleek, contemporary style is underscored by the new three-faceted Dauphine hands, filled with luminescence in the centre facet.

Another exciting release is the Ref. 5524R-001, a new rose gold version of the Calatrava Pilot Travel Time, with a graduated brown dial, sculpted luminous coated numerals and an orange ‘1’ of the analog date on the subsidiary dial at six o’clock. The watch has also been released for ladies, as the Ref. 7234R; the first automatically wound Pilot’s watch in the ladies collection.

Further enriching Patek Philippe’s collection of complicated ladies’ watches is the Ref. 7150/250R, a rose gold chronograph with a bezel adorned with 72 diamonds. Both the manually wound movement and the silvery opaline dial, can be seen clearly through the sapphire-crystal ‘box’ glass, used for the first time on both the front and back of a Patek Philippe watch in the current collection.

These unique pieces are only a sample of what will be showcased in the Exhibition Collection. It is an extremely rare chance to admire first-hand such an extensive range of Patek Philippe timepieces. The opportunity will be welcomed not only by collectors and watch aficionados but by those only just beginning to discover the world of horology. Visitors can view and try on the watches, speak to in-house specialists and discover the unique history behind each individual design.
