Alphonse Island, Seychelles, is known for its peace and tranquillity and January 2018 sees the island enhance its wellness offering by launching Azure Spa. Petite and intimate, Azure Spa is comprised of just one circular treatment room, complete with with two large, comfortable massage tables and an adjoining bathroom. Its décor is inspired by the relaxed and carefree vibe of Alphonse Island.

Azure Spa is a true haven of relaxation and rejuvenation for both body and mind and in keeping with Alphonse Island’s ‘Authentic Seychelles’ atmosphere, Azure Spa uses Yi-King products that are 100 per cent organic and locally made on the mainland of Mahé. These products are classified according to each guests Master Element, which is determined by their date of birth. The eight traditional Yi-King Master Elements are those recognized by Chinese medicine: Sky, Wind, Water, Mountain, Earth, Thunder, Fire and Lake. These products are native to the Seychelles and each element corresponds to the hormones, meridians and organs to the body associated with the relevant birth dates for each, ensuring a tailored and bespoke treatment that enhances overall wellbeing for every guest.

The expert therapists at Azure Spa have in-depth knowledge and profound experience of the ancient art of massage and this enables them to reawaken the weariest of bodies. Their healing hands revitalize bodies and calm minds and this, combined with the personalised Yi-King oils and therapies, allow spa guests to experience a higher realm of overall wellbeing.
