A new online only sale by Christie’s auction house – running until next Tuesday, February 4 – features over 100 “approachably-priced” artworks by the king of the swinging sixties pop art scene.
Andy Warhol@Christie’s: LOVE includes a diverse range of drawings, silkscreen prints, etchings and polaroids by Warhol on themes of romance, sex and love, with starting bids at a very affordable $1,500.
Proceeds from the sale – part of the Andy Warhol@Christie’s series – will benefit The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, which creates grant-making programmes in support of artists and non-profit arts organisations.
