Born to Lydia and Nigel Snawdon on January 23, 1972, in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, Lisa Snawdon enrolled into the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts—where one of her classmates was Naomi Campbell. Following her parents split, 17-year-old Snawdon moved to London, supporting herself teaching dance and yoga.
How did Snowdon go on to become a millionaire?
In 1991, an agent from Premier Model Management signed her up for modelling after spotting Snawdon pole-dancing at a rave in London’s MFI club. Changing her surname to Snowdon, she soon became one of the UK’s top fashion models—commanding about £100,000 per photo shoot at the height of her career.
Her first small-screen venture was as a host on MTV Select (2001). After several MTV and VH1 shows, Snowdon soon became host and head judge of Britain’s Next Top Model (2006-09), taking over from Lisa Butcher. This led to other presenting roles such as Something for the Weekend (2007), Through the Keyhole (2007) and Royal Ascot (2009).
In 2008, Snowdon was chosen as the face of Avon lingerie. She also participated in the sixth series of Strictly Come Dancing, finishing third alongside partner Brendan Cole; and was the first to achieve three perfect scores.

She soon co-hosted Capital London’s Breakfast Show (2008) on radio, with Johnny Vaughan followed by Dave Berry. Snowdon left Britain’s Next Top Model to Elle Macpherson in Season Six and concentrated on her radio show, making it London’s award-winning breakfast show that boasted over one million listeners. She was with it until 2015-end.
Snowdon modelled for Gucci, was the face of Marks & Spencer (2010-13), Belvita breakfast biscuits (2010-14) and lingerie brand Triumph (2015). She was also covergirl for Marie Claire, Vogue and Elle, and graced the inside pages of Arena, GQ, Maxim and Loaded. Her advertising campaigns include Lynx, Dove, Mercedes-Benz, Neutrogena and Kellogg’s Special K.
Other notable TV appearances were a cameo in Plus One (2009), hosting Your Style in His Hands (2013-14), starring in Man’s Best Friend (2014 short film), co-presenting Weekend Kitchen with Waitrose (2014) and substituting for Scottish presenter Lorraine Kelly on her lifestyle show Lorraine (2016).
One of the contestants on the 16th series of ITV’s reality show I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! (November 13-December 4, 2016), Snowdon was the second camp mate to be voted out from the Australian jungles.
