Based in Bath, Fallen Furniture is a design workshop run by two brothers. They reuse and restore disused aircraft parts from both civilian and military planes and transform them into striking pieces of furniture and artworks.
One such piece is a Boeing 747 wheel that has been keenly polished and topped with a thin cylinder sheet of glass to make a coffee table. There are also free-standing lights made from old exhausts, and one crafted from the leading edge slat (the flap on the wing) of an Airbus A320 that has been polished and attached to an iron and brass stand.
Alongside the aforementioned pieces is a ‘Bespoke’ section. This is where customers can get things made to order; from a Cowling bar made from an engine to the outside section of plane windows cut to measure for use as either a wall hanging or a room divider.
