Originally from Cumbria, Leanne Brown (née Wassell) met her husband Wes Brown 16 years ago, after moving to Manchester to train as a beautician. The couple married in June 2009 in a lavish ceremony at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire. They have three daughters: Halle, Lilia and Lola.
Husband Wes Brown is an English footballer, playing as a defender for Sunderland. He had previously spent his entire career at Old Trafford, having joined the Manchester United youth team in 1996. From 2000, Brown was a regular fixture in the starting team and over the next eight years was part of a first team that won four Premier League titles, an FA Cup, a League Cup and a Champions League. He retired from international football in August 2010, joining Sunderland in July 2011.
Leanne Brown currently runs a blog called My Family My Love My Life, and revealed in August 2014 that she is planning to launch a new clothing brand for girls named Kiss Frogs. The collection is designed for children ages 5 to 10. She recently announced the new business venture on her own website, saying ‘inspiration has been taken from my life with my girls’.

She will star alongside Ampika Pickston, Dawn Ward, Lauren Simon, Magali Gorre, and Tanya Bardsley. Leanne Brown is regularly involved in philanthropy and is a patron of Once Upon a Smile, a bereavement support charity. She recently hosted a wardrobe clear-out party helping to raise thousands of pounds for the charity.
The couple own a multimillion five bedroom mansion in Prestbury, Cheshire, complete with a cinema room and leisure complex.
