New York Pastry Chef Dominque Ansel’s ode to excess. Recently created, Cronuts have been described as a half croissant, half doughnut –hybrid that is purely sinful and delicious.

2. Fried Chicken 

Fried chicken fever in NYC runs the gamut from classic southern American-style buttermilk fried chicken to spice glazed Korean-style fried chicken, and everything in between.

New York has found itself in a barbecue renaissance over the past 10 years, and I’m glad to see such fantastic restaurants such as Pitt Cue Co. and Barbecoa start to bring their take on this regional American classic to London. After all, what’s not to like about succulent slow cooked smoky meats served with bourbon?
