Selena Gomez's Net Worth

Born to stage actress Amanda Dawn Cornett and Ricardo Joel Gomez, on July 22, 1992, in Grand Prairie, Texas, Selena Marie Gomez began living with her mother after her parents divorced when she was five.

Watching her mother (who juggled three jobs) prepare for stage plays got Gomez interested in acting and her first role was in the children’s TV series Barney and friends (2002-2004).

Gomez also appeared in the films Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over (2003) and Walker, Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire (2005).

In 2007, she was given a recurring role in Disney’s Hannah Montana, followed by the lead role in another Disney series Wizards of Waverly Place (where she sang the theme song). Gomez and her mother soon shifted to Hollywood.

She then won a Young Artist Award for her voice-role in the film Horton Hears a Who! and contributed the song “Fly to Your Heart” to the soundtrack of another animation Tinker Bell, in 2008. That year, Gomez launched July Moon Productions, her own company.

In 2009, she created the pop band Selena Gomez & the Scene, with her first two albums (Kiss & Tell and A Year Without Rain) debuting in Billboard 200’s top 10.

Gomez’ first two solo albums, Stars Dance (2013) and Revival (2015) topped the US Billboard 200. Her single “Wolves” (with Marshmello) topped the US Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, among others, while achieving Platinum certification in 10 countries.
