Once again, it would seem that the Obama administration has learned the advantages of a post-9/11 policy.

Despite having pledged to end the Bush administration’s policy of ‘warrantless wiretaps,’ Barack Obama’s Department of Justice has intervened to concluded two law-suits brought by left-wing pressure groups seeking information from telephone and internet companies that cooperated with the National Security Agency in an operation to intercept the communications made between the United States and terrorist suspects overseas.

Once again, having been briefed on the realities of national security, it would seem that the Obama administration has learned and accepted the advantages of continuing a policy that after the 9/11 attacks was considered essential in combating international terrorism.
