Eileen Davidson net worth

By Suren Prasad

Former model and American soap opera star famous for her roles in The Young and the Restless, Days of Our Lives and The Bold and the Beautiful, Eileen Davidson’s net worth is guesstimated at £2 million.

Born in Artesia, California on June 15, 1959 to Charlotte and Richard Davidson, Eileen Marie Davidson’s career path started her on modelling in Mexico City and California, from where she went to Europe to add commercials and print work to her repertoire. Upon her roomie’s advice, Davidson took acting classes at the Staircase Theater, which saw her get roles in the feature films Goin’ all the Way (1982) and The House on Sorority Row (1983, salary: $50/day).

How did Davidson become a millionaire?

In March 1982, she was cast in The Young and the Restless as Ashley Abbott. Davidson made her character so famous that when she left the series in December 1988, she recommended the producers to hire Brenda Epperson Doumani for her role—her ‘doppelganger’ whom Davidson encountered at a charity.

She was then cast in Broken Badges (1990-1991), Santa Barbara (1991-1993) and Days of Our Lives (1993-1998 & 2012-2015). Davidson was the first daytime TV performer to play five roles simultaneously in Days of Our Lives for which she received a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in 1998.

Following a sabbatical, she resumed acting in 1999, returning to The Young and the Restless, soon after which Davidson received her second Outstanding Lead Actress nomination for a Daytime Emmy in 2003. Her last episode was on January 11, 2007. She soon took up her fashion designer niece Devon Martt’s offer to join her in designing clothes and founded the garment range “Femmeology”.

She was asked to play the part of Ashley again, this time on The Bold and the Beautiful (sister soap of The Young and the Restless), with her first appearance being aired in March 2007. She returned full-time to The Young and the Restless in September 2008.
Partnering author Robert J. Randisi, Davidson co-authored a four-novel soap opera mystery series: Death in Daytime (October 2008), Dial Emmy for Murder (2009), Diva Las Vegas (2010) and Swinging in the Rain (2011).
After a contract termination in 2012 with The Young and the Restless, Davidson returned to Days of Our Lives to play Kristen Blake DeMera again. In February 2013, she appeared on The Young and the Restless for the 40th anniversary of the series. In June 2014, she won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress—the second actress to win the Award in this category for Days of Our Lives. The same month, Davidson signed up for two more years of The Young and the Restless.

In July 2014, she was cast in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills with top wages of $750,000/season.
