British beauty and fashion vlogger and young YouTube celebrity, Tanya Burr has an estimated net worth of £1.5 million.

Born on June 9, 1989, Tanya Burr was raised and schooled in Norwich, after which she underwent training to become a makeup artist and took to working in Jarrold’s department store on a beauty counter in her hometown.

How did Burr use her beauty counter experience to become a digital influence worth millions?

In October 2009, while still at Jarrold, she created the Tanya Burr YouTube channel, where she began uploading videos after work. Mainly posting ‘how-to’ tutorials to imitate celebrity looks, Burr later roped in vlogs and ‘haul’ videos. In 2011, once her vlog bloomed, she quit her job to concentrate full-time on it—making good use of Twitter and Instagram to get her channel noticed more. She also began writing her blog Tanya Burr from March onwards that year.

Burr unveiled her makeup range Tanya Burr Cosmetics at Sanderson London Hotel in January 2014 through British health and beauty retailer Superdrug. Her products created a sensation of sorts when marketed exclusively on, with the site boasting its biggest waiting list ever. It is reported her line is the website’s 11th most popular brand.
Amassing 10 million views a month on her YouTube channel, Burr’s ad revenue alone is reported to be over £20,000 a month.

In January 2015, she released her semi-autobiographical beauty guide titled Love, Tanya through Penguin Books. Besides this, she will also be releasing another book on June 30, 2016, titled Tanya Bakes.

She appeared on the cover of Glamour magazine’s December 2015 issue and also attends the London Fashion Week every season.

Burr stands 17th on the list of The Guardian’s Top 30 Young People in Digital Media as most influential young person.

By January 2016-end, in addition to 240 million plus clicks, Burr’s YouTube channel enjoys a subscriber base of over 3.2 million, which is double that of her Twitter following, while she’s got 2.2 million following her on Instagram.

Burr is also known to collaborate with other YouTubers such as Zoe and Joe Sugg, Alfie Deyes, Tyler Oakley and Louise Pentland on her channel.
