The 2016 Monaco Yacht Summit will share unbiased information about the yachting industry delivered in an intimate and focused format to a delegation of privileged guests. Armed with the intelligence from the Monaco Yacht Summit, the delegates will be well prepared for the charter or purchase decision-making process during their navigation at the Monaco Yacht Show.
Presented by the Organisers at the Monaco Yacht Show, the Monaco Yacht Summit will guide and inform delegates via three independent workshops. Led by distinguished experts from the yachting industry, the workshops will address current issues and share inside information with this new audience.
The Charter workshop will explore the advantages of chartering a yacht either as a new experience or before investing in a vessel. The experts will also explain the realistic expectations of opening up a private yacht to commercial activity.
The Purchase & Finance workshop lays the course on yacht selection, financing and legal considerations with a focus on the real benefits of a yacht purchase.
The Management workshop delves into the supercharged topics of crew and yacht management, refit and insurance, berthing considerations.
The delegates, potential future clients together with the representatives of their family offices, will be given the keys to the fascinating world of superyachts ahead of the opening day at the Monaco Yacht Show.

Freddy Desplanques specialises in customs and excise matters and VAT implications whilst has maintained excellent working relationships with French Customs Officers in the Mediterranean.
Malcolm Jacotine is a Master Mariner with a business background who has been in command of yachts (40m-130+m). Since 1989, he has been actively involved in the steady evolution of yacht management into the ownership equation and currently provides independent advice to both new and existing owners.
Ken Judge OAM, is an Australian mergers & acquisitions and securities lawyer and long time resident of Monaco. Ken is also a keen yachtsman having completed five America’s Cup campaigns including as a crew member of “Australia II”, winner of the 1983 America’s Cup for which he was awarded an Order of Australia Medal.
Xavier Lamadrid’s experience as a yacht manager and expertise in private banking, family offices, aviation and tax enables him to focus and match the needs of owners from with yacht industry offerings. Xavier has developed an ownership plan for large private vessels and a unique yacht storage business.
Dan Lenard is one of the founding partners of Italian design team of Nuvolari Lenard, widely celebrated for elegant, innovative yet timeless yachts. Dan’s passion for yachting together with his creativity and dedication to his clients have won this designer worldwide accolades and the respect of the yachting industry.
Robb Maass heads his law firm’s Admiralty Department, which specializes in marine transactions. He and the other lawyers in his Department represent a broad spectrum of the marine industry, including yacht owners, crew, manufacturers, brokers, and vendors.
