She finished her schooling and joined Bath Dance College to pursue the Performing Arts.
Making her acting debut as Arya Stark in HBO’s Game of Thrones in 2011, Maisie Williams drew great plaudits for her performance as well as several nominations and awards. She was nominated for the Screen Actors Guild awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in 2011, 2013 and 2014, Scream Award for Best Ensemble in 2011 and Young Artist Award for Best Supporting Young Actress in a TV Series in 2013.
Williams won the Portal Award for Best Young Actor as well as Best Supporting Actress in 2012 — the youngest actress to do so in the Supporting Actress category. She also won the BBC Radio 1 Teen Award for Best British Actor in 2013 and the Empire Hero Award in 2015. Williams has the distinction of appearing in all five seasons of the famous fantasy drama.
Her other TV acting credits include BBC’s The Secret of Crickley Hall (2012), a voice-role in Robot Chicken (2014), the docu-drama Cyberbully (2015) and a forthcoming guest role in Doctor Who (2015).
Williams’ has also acted in the films Heatstroke (2012), Gold (2013) and The Falling (2015), along with two short films Up On The Roof (2013) and Corvidae (2013). Her upcoming film The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea (2016) is in post-production.
Williams is a keen gymnast and dancer.
