Born on March 27, 1988 in London, Jessie J is estimated to be worth £5.5 million. She began her musical career at 15 years of age, winning Best Pop Singer on Britain’s Brilliant Prodigies. At 16, she attended the BRIT School in London, graduating alongside Leona Lewis and Adele.

After her first YouTube post, Jessie was signed by Lava and Universal Republic.

Her debut studio album Who You Are (2011) graced the UK Album Charts at number two, with the first single Do It Like A Dude, inspired by Rihanna’s Rude Boy, rocketing to second place on the UK Singles Chart.

Jessie’s second single, Price Tag, topped the charts in the UK, New Zealand and Ireland among others and entered the top 30 in the USA.

After Nobody’s Perfect and Who’s Laughing Now, her fifth single Domino became her second UK chart topper and peaked at number six on the US Billboard Hot 100.

She then released Laserlight, her sixth single from Who You Are, in May 2012, which breezed to number five on the UK Singles Chart within a week, selling 38,983 copies. With this, she became the first British female solo artist to produce six top ten singles from one single album, placing her in the company of Michael Jackson, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga.

The singer had sold over 2.5 million albums and 11 million singles by April 2012.

Jessie J also sang at Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee Concert in June 2012, at the closing ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games and was a mentor on BBC One’s The Voice in 2012 and 2013.

She launched her second album Alive in September 2013, which made the top five in the UK, with its lead single Wild hitting the top five in Australia and Britain.

In October 2014, Jessie J released her third album Sweet Talker, which peaked at number five in the UK. The first single, Bang Bang, shot to sixth spot on the US Billboard Hot 100, becoming 2014’s second-highest new entry and her second top 10 US single. The song then topped the British charts, becoming her third chart topper in the UK. Bang Bang has been nominated at the 2015 Grammys.

Jessie helped raise £75 million for Comic Relief by getting her hair shaved on Red Nose Day in 2013.

A three-time winner at the UK’s Glamour Awards (2011, 2012 and 2013), she has also won three BT Digital Music Awards as well as a prestigious Brit Award in 2011.

Her trademark unconventional music blending soul vocals, pop, contemporary R&B and hip-hop earned her a reported £3.9 million in 2013.

Jessie relocated to Los Angeles in 2014.
