JAKOB MEIDAL

By Spear's

‘A good wealth manager needs to be curious, he needs to listen and be close to the clients,’ says Jakob Meidal. ‘There is no solution that would fit two families the same way, and especially now people are increasingly mobile and the world is getting smaller.’

The new generation of UHNWs is better informed and more hands-on, the Swede notes. And in the Nordic countries there is particular ‘focus on sustainable, socially responsible-type investment,’ he says. ‘Exclusion of types of investments from their portfolios is the starting point, and there is a focus on the environment, the carbon footprint and other long term thematic aspects too,’ says Meidal.
