Previously a property entrepreneur, Grant Bovey’s career is stalked by bankruptcy, and marital indiscretions. Bovey was once a real estate magnate. His net worth is estimated to be at least six figures.
His now defunct business, Imagine Homes, was worth more than £100 million before the baleful influences of the 2008 UK property crash.
How did Bovey make his millions?
The demise of the market brought Bovey to financial ruin, rendering him bankrupt in 2010. However, his recent admittance into the Big Brother house comes amidst rumours of a healthy pay check featuring six figures.
Bovey is also well-known as the ex-husband of TV presenter Anthea Turner. His financial woes directly hit the former Blue Peter star and GMTV icon. After being sued by Bovey’s creditors for 1.6 million, Turner has recently adapted to living in a three-bedroom Richmond flat, a sizable change from the comfortable opulence of her previous Surrey estate.
Her change of environment also followed a quick divorce from Bovey, whose entanglement with Zoe De Mallet Morgan spurred the end of the marriage last year.
Once worth his fair share of millions, Bovey appeared contrite about his treatment of Turner as he began his stint on Celebrity Big Brother. Scandal aside, viewers are no doubt intrigued as to the impact his presence will make during his first experience with reality TV.
Bovey joined the UK Celebrity Big Brother house on July 28, 2016.
