Reality TV personality and writer Gemma Collins is one of the main characters on TOWIE and is estimated to have a net worth of £2.7 million

Collins was born on February 2, 1981 in Romford, Essex. As a child, she studied at Sylvia Young Theatre School in London. During her childhood, she starred in several theatre productions and in 1995; she starred in The Sound of Music musical. Collins rose to fame when she joined the hit reality show The Only Way Is Essex in 2001, for the show’s second series.

What else has Collins done to earn her million pound net worth?

In January 2014, Collins participated in the second series of ITV’s diving show Splash! She took part in the first heat of the show but was eliminated in a Splash-off with Michaela Strachan, making her the third participant (out of 20) to be eliminated.

On 16 November 2014, she took part in the fourteenth series of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! on ITV. Collins quit the show after 3 days and was paid for her time in the jungle. The reality star also presented on ITV1’s ‘This Morning’ where she regularly presented a host of fashion and cookery slots. One of her appearances scored the highest ratings of the entire show, firmly cementing her making her prominent in the industry.

In 2015, Collins launched her own clothing shop, Gemma Collins’ Collection, with clothing for plus sized women. Later that year, she joined I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! once again on the spin-off show I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! NOW!

Since her fame, Collins has occasionally presented competition segments on ITV programme This Morning and has also made appearances on Loose Women, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Big Brother’s Bit on the Side, and Celebrity Juice.

On 5 January 2016, she entered the Celebrity Big Brother house to participate in the seventeenth series.
