By Spear's

Most widely recognized for her Emmy-nominated role as Daenerys on the hit series Game of Thrones, English actress Emilia Clarke has an estimated net worth of £2 million.

Born on 26 October, 1986 in London, Emilia Clarke grew up in Berkshire. With her father as a theatre sound engineer, Clarke’s interest in acting began at the age of three after witnessing the musical Show Boat on which her father was working.

She was educated at Rye St Antony School and at St Edward’s School Oxford, where she acted in two plays, and later attended Drama Centre London, where she featured in 10 plays. She then graduated in 2009.

After graduating from the Drama Centre London, she began her professional acting career in 2009 with a guest-starring role on Doctors. During that time, she had appeared in two 2009 commercials for Samaritans.

Shortly after her role in Doctors, Clarke starred in Syfy’s 2010 film Triassic Attack in which she was subsequently named as one of the ‘UK Stars of Tomorrow’ by Screen International magazine.

In 2010, Clarke was cast as Daenerys Targaryen in the HBO  series Game of Thrones. The show debuted in April 2011 and was highly successful with positive reviews. The network picked up the show for a second season.

Now in its sixth season, Clarke has appeared in all five broadcast seasons, and is attached to the sixth. Clarke won the 2011 EWwy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama for her role in Games of Thrones.

In 2013, Clarke was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series at the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards. She was nominated again in the same category in 2015.
