German/Irish actorMichael Fassbender has an estimated net worth of $30 million (£23 million).

Born on April 2, 1977 in Heidelberg, Baden-Württemberg, to an Irish mother and German father, Fassbender gained wide recognition in Zack Snyder’s surprise smash hit 300, in which he played Stelios. His prior roles included different stage productions, and in addition featuring parts on TV, for example, in the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers (2001) and the Sky One dream show Hex (2004–05).

How did Fassbender make his millions?

He initially came to prominece for his part as IRA extremist Bobby Sands in Hunger (2008), for which he won a British Independent Film Award. Following roles include independent film Fish Tank (2009), as a Royal Marines lieutenant in Inglourious Basterds (2009), as Edward Rochester in the 2011 film adaptation of Jane Eyre, as Carl Jung in A Dangerous Method (2011), as an aware android in Prometheus (2012), and in the melodic satire show Frank (2014) as an offbeat performer inexactly motivated by Frank Sidebottom.

In 2011, Fassbender appeared as the Marvel Comics screw-up Magneto in X-Men: First Class, and went ahead to take part to Ian McKellen in X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014), and repeat it again in X-Men: Apocalypse (2016). Likewise in 2011, Fassbender’s performance as a sex addict in Shame earned him the Volpi Cup for Best Actor at the Venice Film Festival and was nominated for Golden Globe and BAFTA Awards.

In 2013, his part as slave master Edwin Epps in the subjection epic 12 Years a Slave was similarly praised, winning him his first Oscar award for Best Supporting Actor. In 2013, Fassbender showed up in another Ridley Scott film, The Counselor. In 2015, he depicted Steve Jobs in the Danny Boyle-coordinated biopic of a similar name, and played Macbeth in Justin Kurzel’s adjustment of William Shakespeare’s play.

He has gotten Academy Award, BAFTA, Golden Globe and SAG designations. In 2015, he created the western Slow West, in which he also featured.

In May 2016, sequel to Prometheus, titled Alien: Covenant was announced and Fassbender will reprise his role as the android David.
