Andre Ward Net Worth

By Spear's

American professional boxer Andre Ward has an estimated net worth of £1.5 million.
Born on February 23, 1984 in San Francisco, California, Ward is best known for winning a gold medal at the Summer Olympics in 2004.

Andre’s career started when his father took him to a boxing gym in Oakland, California when he was nine years of age. Ward’s godfather, Virgil Hunter, became his coach and still trains him today.

He is a former unified super middleweight champion, having held the WBA (Super) title from 2009 to 2015; the WBC title from 2011 to 2013; and the Ring magazine and lineal titles from 2011 to 2015.

How did Ward make his millions?

As a novice, Ward won a gold medal in the light heavyweight division at the 2004 Olympics and turned professional soon thereafter. After entering the Super Six World Boxing Classic in 2009 and winning the WBA (Super) super middleweight title from Mikkel Kessler in the opening gathering stage, Ward later brought together his title with that of the WBC in 2011, vanquishing Carl Froch in the competition last.
He was named Fighter of the Year by both The Ring and the Boxing Writers’ Association of America (BWAA) in 2011.
Ward is currently ranked as the third best boxer in the world, pound for pound, by BoxRec; fourth by The Ring; and fifth by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board (TBRB). He is additionally positioned as the world’s third best light heavyweight by BoxRec, fourth by the TBRB, and fifth by The Ring.

Since 2014, Ward has also worked as a commentator and expert analysist on the boxing television channel HBO.

In 2015, Ward made his acting debut in the American sports drama film Creed as the light heavyweight boxer Danny “Stuntman” Wheeler.
