His TV career began in 1999 as co-presenter of the children’s magazine show Fully Booked . He then shifted to Channel 4, where he co-presented T4 (2000-2005) and Boys and Girls (2003). After hosting the game show HeadJam (2004) and Hit Me, Baby, One More Time (2005), Kay’s lucky streak began with presenting All Star Family Fortunes (2006-2014), the primetime game show, where he was paid £1 million.
Continuing with ITV, he hosted Vernon Kay’s Gameshow Marathon (2007), Beat the Star (2008-2009) and later co-hosted The Whole 19 Yards (2010) and Skating with the Stars (2010).
In 2011, Kay presented Million Dollar Mind Game and the Christmas show Home For the Holidays and a year later hosted Let’s Get Gold (ITV mini-series).
Kay also played a cameo in Keith Lemon: The Film (2012).
He later co-hosted the diving show Splash! (2013-2014) alongside Gabby Logan and Tom Daley, while presenting The American Football Show (2013).
