From Bollywood to Hollywood, former Miss World and popular actress/singer Priyanka “Piggy Chops” Chopra has an estimated net worth of $11 million.

Born on July 18, 1982 to Indian army doctors Madhu and Ashok Chopra in Jamshedpur, Priyanka Chopra studied Western classical music, Kathak dance and choral singing in the US from the age of 13 to 16.

Chopra soon returned to India to win a local beauty pageant, during her final year at school. With her mother’s encouragement, she went on to win Miss World 2000 and Miss World Continental Queen of Beauty – Asia & Oceania 2000.
Her silver screen debut was in the Tamil movie Thamizhan (2002) followed by Bollywood’s The Hero (2003). A starring role in Andaaz (2003) won her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut and Aitraaz (2004) saw her grab the Filmfare Award for Best Performance in a Negative Role.

How did she make her millions?

Chopra’s breakthrough arrived with Fashion (2008), where she won four Best Actress awards—Filmfare Award, National Film Award, IIFA Award, Screen Award and Producers Guild Film Award.
Her role in Kaminey (2009) won her a Producers Guild Film Award for Best Actress. She also starred in What’s Your Raashee? (2009)—her portrayal of 12 separate characters in a single movie was considered Guinness Book material.
Ahead of her came two more superhits in the form of 7 Khoon Maaf (2011), which won her the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress and Barfi! (2012, one of Chopra’s best performances) made it to the 2013 Oscars. She also voice-acted in Disney’s Planes (2013 offshoot of Pixar’s Cars).
Starring in and as Mary Kom (2014)—Olympic Bronze medalist and five-time world boxing champion, “Piggy” punched her way to Best Actress at the Screen Awards and the Producers Guild Film Awards. Her performance in Bajirao Mastani (2015) won her Best Supporting Actress at the Filmfare Awards, IIFA Awards and Screen Awards.
Chopra became the first South Asian lead actor in an American series, starring in Quantico (2015); a deal worth $3,700,000 plus the People’s Choice Award for Favourite Actress In A New TV Series. In 2016, she won her second People’s Choice Award: Favorite Dramatic TV Actress. (Therichest.com)

A judge at Miss World 2009, Chopra hosted the reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi in 2010, winning the Indian Telly Award for Most Impactful Debut on Television.
Priyanka owns the production company Purple Pebble Pictures, which produced Ventilator (2016 award-winning Marathi film).
A talented singer, Chopra’s tracks include “Ullathai Killathe” (her first song; Thamizhan), “Saajan Saajan” (Barsaat), “Chaoro” (Mary Kom), “Dil Dhadakne Do” (Dil Dhadakne Do) and “Baba” (Ventilator).
Chopra’s first single, “In My City” feat. will.i.am, following a signing by Creative Artists Agency in 2012, made its US debut that September for NFL’s Thursday Night Football and was certified platinum in India. In October, she won the Trailblazer Award as the first Bollywood star with a major US record deal, among others.
The national UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for Child Rights (2010) and global UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador (2016), Chopra’s charities are spearheaded by “The Priyanka Chopra Foundation for Health and Education”.
Having had her own columns in the Hindustan Times (2009) and Elle.com (2014-2015), Chopra also penned for The Times of India (2012), The Guardian (2014) and The New York Times (2014).
In 2006, 2012, 2014 and 2015, she topped Eastern Eye magazine’s list of “World’s Sexiest Asian Women” and was Maxim’s “Hottest Girl of the Year” in 2011, 2013 and 2016. In 2016, Chopra was one of Time magazine’s “100 Most Influential People in the World” (featuring on that issue’s cover) and also the World’s eighth-highest-paid TV actress according to Forbes.
Chopra, whose endorsements include TAG Heuer, Beats, Nokia, Guess (first Indian model for an American brand) and Hero Honda, was the first Indian actress to give her foot impression at the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum (Florence, 2009) and also features in a textbook (Roving Families, Shifting Homes) taught at Springdales School, New Delhi.
