Born in San Diego, California on October 8, 1980, to Beth Hackett and James Cannon, Nicholas Scott Cannon was mostly raised by his paternal grandfather following his parents’ divorce, but whar is Nick Cannon’s Net worth?

Growing up in Southeast San Diego’s gangland area, Nick Cannon managed to elude its clutches after the death of a close friend.

Graduating school in 1998, Cannon soon began performing stand-up comedy after debuting on his dad’s local cable access programme, but what is Nick Cannon’s Net Worth?

In 1999, Cannon joined his friend Steve Groves to form the rap group Da G4 Dope Bomb Squad. However, in 2001, he signed up with Jive Records followed by featuring on the soundtrack of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius.

Releasing his eponymous debut album in 2003, Cannon launched his label Can-I-Ball Records, in 2005, but cancelled it in 2009 to release the new label N’Credible Entertainment. His second studio album White People Party Music emerged in 2014.

In 2011, he recorded Mr Showbiz, his first stand-up comedy special in Las Vegas and also released Child of the Corn (his debut mixtape). The second mixtape, The Gospel of Ike Turn Up: My Side of the Story, came five years later.

After appearing in various TV sitcoms such as All That (1998-2000), Kenan & Kel (1998-1999), The Parkers (2000), Taina (2001), and The Nick Cannon Show (2002-2003, lead role, writer and executive producer), Cannon played host to quite a few TV shows starting with Wild ‘N Out (2005-2007 and 2013-present). Other shows he hosted are MTV’s Nick Cannon Presents: Short Circuitz (2007, created and produced), Nickelodeon’s Friday Night Slime, (2011), NBC’s America’s Got Talent (2009-2016) and Caught on Camera with Nick Cannon (2014).

Cannon’s other major shows are: Up All Night (2011), Incredible Crew (2013, creator, announcer, executive producer and music), Real Husbands of Hollywood (2013-2016) and Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2014-2015).

Making his first movie appearance in Men in Black II (2002), Cannon followed it with a starring role in Drumline (2002) and soon went on to act in Love Don’t Cost a Thing (2003), Garfield: The Movie (2004), Underclassman (2005), Roll Bounce (2005), The Adventures of Brer Rabbit (2006), Monster House (2006), Bobby (2006), Weapons (2007), Goal II: Living the Dream (2007), American Son (2008), The Killing Room (2009), School Gyrls (2010, director), Drumline: A New Beat (2014, executive producer), School Dance (2014, co-writer, director and producer), Chi-Raq (2015), King of the Dance Hall (2016, director) and Rags (2012, TV film).

Cannon, who is honorary chairman and creative consultant of Nickelodeon’s TeenNick, also hosted 92.3 Now FM on the radio (2010-2012) along with CBS radio’s weekly chart show titled Cannon’s Countdown. He was also the “Chief Creative Officer” for the erstwhile RadioShack.

His award wins include: Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards’ Favorite Television Actor for All That (2001), Hollywood Film Festival Award’s Ensemble of the Year for Bobby (2006) and NAACP Image Award’s Outstanding Supporting Actor for Up All Night (2012).

The rapper’s car collection includes two Mercedes Benz, two Ferraris, a Maserati Quattroporte, a Range Rover, a Rolls Royce Drophead Coupe, a Cadillac Escalade, a 1964 Chevrolet Impala and a Lamborghini Murcielago.

Cannon, who suffers from lupus nephritis—an autoimmune disease relating to the kidneys, supports the charities Feeding America, Stomp Out Bullying, The National Kidney Foundation and Lupus Foundation of America. He is also on the Board of Directors of New York’s St. Mary’s Children’s Hospital besides running the Nicholas Scott Cannon Foundation.

Married to Mariah Carey in 2008, the couple divorced in 2016. They have fraternal twins: daughter Monroe and son Moroccan Scott (born 2011). Cannon also has a son, Golden Sagon, with beauty pageant winner Brittany Mesa Bell.

He lives in Saddle Hills, New Jersey.
