The net worth of Jaymi Hensley, singer/performer and member of British boy band Union J, is under review.
Born on February 24, 1990 to David and Jackie Hensley in Luton, England, Jaymi Hensley began to be noticed while he was performing with the British boyband Triple J, formed in 2011, along with band mates Josh Cuthbert and JJ Hamblett. The band later became Union J on the British TV music competition The X Factor in 2012, when George Shelley joined it.
How does Hensley earn his money?
The group made fourth place on The X Factor, losing on December 2, 2012 in the semi-finals of the ninth series. Union J soon went on to win Best British Breakthrough at the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards in 2013 and slowly began earning fame while bringing celebrity status to them. In June 2013, they released their debut single “Carry You” through RCA Records’ Sony Music, which went on to peak at six in Britain. The following October emerged their studio album Union J.
Hensley also appeared in the movie Kick-Ass 2 (2013) along with the other Union J members. The year also saw Union J release their autobiography Our Story: Union J 100% Official (October 2013) through Penguin Books.
The band then struck a deal with Epic Records in April 2014, releasing their lead single “Tonight (We Live Forever)” in August, which entered at ninth position in Britain. Soon followed You got It All – The Album, their second studio album. After the exit of the youngest member George Shelley, Casey Johnson joined the band.
The British boy band has its own fashion range in Claire’s.
Apart from The X Factor, Hensley’s other TV appearances include: Daybreak (2013), Never Mind the Buzzcocks (2013), Big Brother’s Bit on the Side (2013-2015), Live at Dingwall’s (2014), Celebrity Squares (2015), Loose Women (2013-2016), Stage School (2016) and The Next Great Magician (2016).
Hensley was included alongside his partner from 2009, Olly Mormon, in the monthly magazine Attitude for its March 2014 edition, following the UK laws legalizing gay marriages March 29, 2014 onwards, to be implemented in England and Wales.
Jaymi Hensley is touted to participate in Channel 5’s reality show Celebrity Big Brother 2017 (set to air this summer), which he missed in 2016 due to work commitments. Other celebrities sought for this year’s line-up include Katie Price, Chantelle Houghton and Jim Davidson.
