By Suren Prasad

TV presenter, singer and actress Amanda Holden has an estimated net worth of £2 million.

Amanda Holden was born in Portsmouth on February 16, 1971. She first appeared on TV on the game show Blind Date (1991) as a contestant. Holden later had minor acting roles in two movies — Intimate Relations (1996) and Virtual Sexuality (1999) — and then co-starred in ITV’s feature length comedy drama Ready When You Are, Mr McGill (2003).

In 2004, she took to performing in musicals and was awarded a Laurence Olivier Theatre Award nomination for Best Actress in a Musical for her role in West End’s Thoroughly Modern Millie.

A triple threat, which one of Holden’s talents earned her millions?

Holden then acted in ITV’s Wild at Heart (2006-2008), but her breakthrough came in 2007 with the newly launched ITV show called Britain’s Got Talent as a judge, where she is currently working alongside Simon Cowell, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon.

Other TV shows she has appeared in include BBC’s Kiss Me Kate, ITV’s The Grimleys, BBC’s Hearts and Bones, EastEnders, Jonathan Creek, Smack the Pony, Celeb, Cutting It and Marple.

In July 2009, she began writing a gossip column for News of the World. She has also co-hosts A Night of Heroes: The Sun Military Awards every year since 2009 alongside Phillip Schofield.

Holden hosted her own series on ITV, Amanda Holden’s Fantasy Lives, and co-hosted The Door, in 2010.

In 2011, Holden won the WhatsOnStage.com Theatregoers’ Choice Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her performance in West End’s original Shrek the Musical.

The TV host also has a Sunday Times Best Seller to her name in the form of her autobiography No Holding Back, penned in 2013.

In 2014, Holden substituted Holly Willoughby from September to December as co-presenter with Phillip Schofield on This Morning and later voice-acted in the Simon Cowell produced live-action comedy Pudsey: The Movie.

Holden has also appeared in TV ads for Tesco (2010-2012) and Danone Oykos low fat yoghurt (2012-). She began endorsing the Alpen Brighter Morning Challenge in 2015
