Taylor Schilling is estimated to be worth £1 million. She was born in Boston, Massachusetts to Patricia and Robert J. Schilling on July 27, 1984.
Schilling actively participated in school dramas, first appearing on stage in a school production of Fiddler on the Roof.
In 2002, after leaving high School, she joined Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts’ Fordham University campus, completing her Bachelor of Arts in 2006, while performing in stage productions during her course. Schilling soon took up an acting course at Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, but had to stop midway as she began auditioning for roles.
But Schilling’s major breakthrough came with a starring role in Orange Is the New Black (based on the memoir of Piper Kerman, Orange Is the New Black: My Year in a Women’s Prison) on Netflix in 2013. The still running series won her the Satellite and Webby Awards for Best Actress in 2013 and gained her a nomination for a Best Actress Golden Globe (2014 and 2015) and Outstanding Lead Actress Primetime Emmy in 2014. In 2015, she won the Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.
She has since had starring film roles in Stay (2013) and the more recent The Overnight (2015).
Schilling earns around £22,800 to appear on each episode of Orange Is the New Black.
