Emmy and Golden Globe winner, talented American actress Sarah Paulson’s net worth is estimated to be $4 million.

Sarah Catharine Paulson was born to Douglas Lyle Paulson II and Catharine Gordon (née Dolcater) in Tampa, Florida on December 17, 1974. Following her parents’ divorce, five-year-old Sarah Paulson moved with her mom to Brooklyn, New York City.

Studying at Manhattan’s Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, she began acting since the age of 12 and debuted on Broadway with The Sisters Rosensweig. After an Off-Broadway titled Talking Pictures (1994), Paulson appeared on the TV series Law & Order (1994) followed by her first TV-movie, Friends at Last (1995).

How did Paulson make her millions?

Paulson soon starred in the TV series American Gothic (1995-96), Cracker: Mind Over Murder: True Romance: Part 1 (1997) Jack & Jill (1999-01), Touched by an Angel: Manhunt (2001) and Leap of Faith (2002). In between, she starred in the films Levitation (1997) and The Long Way Home (1998, TV movie), while appearing in Shaughnessy (1996, TV movie) and the Off-Broadway Killer Joe (1998-99).
In 2004, she had notable parts to play in the series Nip/Tuck and The D.A., and a minor role in Deadwood (2005).
Paulson got her breakthrough with Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (2006-2007), when she was nominated for a Golden Globe.
After leading roles in Cupid (2009, remake of the 1998 series) and the indie film Martha Marcy May Marlene (2011), Paulson’s starring role in the anthology series American Horror Story (2011-present) earned her four Primetime Emmy (2013-16) nominations and two Critics’ Choice Television Awards (2013 and 2015).
Paulson was also nominated for a Primetime Emmy and a Golden Globe for her role in the HBO film Game Change (2012).
Increasing fame attracted critically acclaimed roles in the films Mud (2012), 12 Years a Slave (2013, winner of three Oscars, two BAFTAs and a Golden Globe) and Carol (2015).
Boasting a successful theatre career, Paulson starred in The Glass Menagerie (2005, Broadway revival) and a revival of Talley’s Folly (2013), while appearing in Colder Than Here (2005), Crimes of the Heart (2008), Still Life (2009) and Collected Stories (2010, Broadway).
In 2016, Paulson’s starring role as Marcia Clark in American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson earned her a Golden Globe, a Screen Actors Guild Award, her first Primetime Emmy and a TCA Award.
Her other films include: The Other Sister (1999), What Women Want (2000), Bug (2002), Down with Love (2003), Swimmers (2005), The Notorious Bettie Page (2005), Griffin and Phoenix (2006), A Christmas Wedding (2006), The Spirit (2008), Whose Dog is it Anyway? (2009, short film), November Christmas (2010), Untitled Kari Lizer Project (2011), New Year’s Eve (2011), Fairhaven (2012), The Time Being (2012), The Runner (2015), Blue Jay (2016) and Rebel in the Rye (2017).
Other TV series appearances comprise: Cracker (1997), Real Life (1998), The Sopranos (1999), Desperate Housewives (2007-11), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2010), Grey’s Anatomy (2010), Blue (2012) and Feud (2017).
Paulson’s charities include Heifer International, Unicef and Planned Parenthood.
She is expected to grace Steven Spielberg’s The Papers (December 2017 release), Ocean’s Eight (2018, post-production) and Lost Girls (2018, post-production).
In a relationship with 74-year-old actress Holland Taylor, Paulson currently resides in a $1.65 million three-bedroom house in Hollywood Hills (bought from her American Horror Story co-star Emma Roberts). (Daily Pioneer, Business-Standard & LA Times)
