Ryan Thomas net worth

By Suren Prasad

Ryan Thomas net worth – we calcuate the net worth of British TV actor famous for his “cheeky chap” role on the soap opera Coronation Street.

The elder brother of twins Adam Thomas (Emmerdale star) and Scott Thomas (Love Island star), Ryan James Thomas was born to Sandra Buckle and Salford soul singer Dougie James on June 10, 1984 in Manchester, England. His father is British/Barbadian while his mother is Caucasian. (wikipedia)

At the age of 16, Ryan Thomas debuted on TV in the Manchester-based ITV soap opera Coronation Street (Corrie) as the cheeky mechanic Jason Grimshaw. The ‘Rear of the Year’ award winner (2008) quit the role in June 2016.

In 2012, along with Corrie co-stars Brooke Vincent, Sue Cleaver and Ben Price, Thomas appeared in a spin-off documentary titled Corrie Goes to Kenya, with the charity S.A.F.E.

Thomas started dating Corrie co-star Tina O’Brien in 2003. After a daughter, Scarlett, was born to them in 2008, Thomas ended the relationship, with both splitting in 2009. He is currently dating model and former TOWIE (The Only Way Is Essex) star Lucy Mecklenburgh since August 2017, when they met on the reality show Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls (August-September 2017).

In the wake of an unpaid tax bill amounting to £40,000, Thomas filed for bankruptcy, in 2013, despite an estimated salary of £90,000 per annum on the long-running Corrie. Following this, a report in The Sun claimed he was collecting appearance fees to the tune of £2,000 at nightclubs to pay off his bill. (Daily Mail & wikipedia)

In December 2014, Thomas bought a £70,000 Mercedes SL, even after filing for bankruptcy the previous year. (Daily Mail)

Since October 2017, Thomas has been playing the role of Rafael Humphreys on the Aussie TV soap opera Neighbours. With Thomas already being Down Under, it was rumoured that he would be following his brother Adam’s trail and be cast in this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! (begun November 19, 2017), replacing the sacked YouTube sensation Jack Maynard. But until now there is no news of Thomas’ presence on the show.
