Born in Los Angeles on April 23, 1995 to former Dutch model Yolanda Foster and Palestinian real estate developer Mohamed Hadid, Hadid began her modelling career with Baby Guess at the tender age of two. She continued her association with Guess and signed a deal in 2011 with IMG Models, but what is Gigi Hadid’s net worth?
She became the new face of Guess’ 2012 campaign, doing a total of three campaigns with them as an adult. She also featured in a short film called Virgin Eyes (2012) and appeared as herself in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (2012-2014) — the reality show that once featured her mother.
After graduating from Malibu High School in 2013, she enrolled in The New School in New York to continue her studies.
Hadid’s magazine appearances include Vogue, Elle, Vman, Cleo, Grazia and Paper. She has also graced the covers of Schön!, Galore and Carine Roitfeld’s CR Fashion Book. Hadid was one of the 12 models to adorn Sports Illustrated‘s 2014 swimsuit edition.
In 2014, she debuted at the New York Fashion Week for Barcelona-based casual clothing brand Desigual, catwalked for designer Jeremy Scott, and modeled for Tom Ford’s Eyewear collection with Patrick Schwarzenegger. Hadid also starred in the music videos of Australian singer Cody Simpson (“Surfboard”) and American singer Miguel (“Simplethings”).
In January 2015 Hadid signed a major deal with Maybelline to become its newest face. She also appeared in Taylor Swift’s music video “Bad Blood”, released this May, and catwalked for designers such as Marc Jacobs at New York’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Giles at London Fashion Week and Jean Paul Gaultier at Paris Fashion Week. She also modelled Sonia Rykiel’s and Chanel’s Spring-Summer 2015 collections.
At the 2015 First Annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards, Hadid won the prestigious Model of the Year award.
She currently resides in New York.
