Spear’s is delighted to announce the date and venue for the 2020 Wealth Insight Forum, our annual meeting of wealthy minds, writes Alec Marsh
Spear’s is delighted to announce the date and location of the 2020 Spear’s Wealth Insight Forum (#SWIF2020), which is due to take place on 23 June at The Waldorf Hotel in central London.
We are also pleased to unveil the first of our valued content and commercial partners for the day – whose number once again includes Henley & Partners, BVI Finance, Frank Hirth and Butterfield Mortgages.
As before the annual Spear’s ‘billion-pound meeting of minds’ will focus on the needs and interests of HNWs, with a line-up of speakers and panels touching on important aspects of the lives of the HNW Spear’s readership – from wealth management, to citizenship and residency, property, tax and trusts, luxury and more.
The day-long programme will include geopolitical insight from Spear’s columnist and international lawyer Robert Amsterdam, a forum – and firm – favourite, who will return to talk coronavirus, Trump, China and more.
Other confirmed highlights include a panel on global citizenship, partnered by Henley & Partners. This will look at the impact that Britain’s departure from the EU is having on the power of the UK passport, as well as the new ‘golden’ visa arrangements elsewhere. What are the other international trends in HNW migration? The offshore landscape will be further explored with BVI Finance, which last year helped us take a look into the minds of the globally wealthy.
The tax landscape will also fall under the spotlight. Tax advisor Frank Hirth is the proud partner of our tax and trusts panel and will take us on a journey into the tax looking at 2020 and beyond.
Once again we’ll turn our attention to the London and UK property markets, with a panel of the best and brightest experts in association with Butterfield Mortgages. Is 2020 the year that the capital’s property market bounces back?
This year we will also be focusing on the power of private education, in association with the prestigious Institut auf dem Rosenburg in Switzerland.
With talks and panels focused on wealth and wealth management the day will also include insight from green investment pioneer Mark Campanale, the man who founded Carbon Tracker, on the future of the green economy.
As ever the 2020 Spear’s Wealth Insight Forum will seek out answers to the questions that matter for HNWs today, and offer ample opportunities for networking. As more details and partners emerge we’ll bring you further details.
