In 2016, Allen participated in the UK Power Pageant, with the opportunity to represent Newcastle for the titles of Miss International, Miss Intercontinental, Miss Grand and World Super Model UK, in 2017.

A former cocktail bartender who worked at Pleased to Meet You (an ultra-hip Toon gin bar and nightclub) and promo girl at Naked Newcastle, Allen was chosen as one of the cast for the 14th Series of MTV’s reality show Geordie Shore.

Begun in 2011, Geordie Shore is the British version of the American Jersey Shore, and is set in Newcastle upon Tyne. The word “Geordie” is the dialect as well as regional nickname associated with the citizens of Tyneside along with the city of Newcastle and its surroundings. However, people from other parts of North East England are sometimes included in the show.
Other newbies to embrace the Geordie Shore family include two ex-participants of Ex on the Beach Sarah Goodhart and Eve Shannon, along with Abbie Holborn and Billy Phillips.
Previous participants of Geordie Shore returning to the Series are: Chloe Ferry, Marty McKenna (Ferry’s ex), Kyle Christie, Marnie Simpson, Aaron Chalmers, Gaz Beadle, Nathan Henry and Sophie Kasaei. Filmed in November 2016, the eight episodes of the Series will be shown January 2017 onwards.

It was reported that Allen and Ferry had an ugly altercation at a night club in which Allen was allegedly kicked by Ferry, resulting in the latter being asked to leave Geordie Shore. However, Ferry seems to have been pardoned after a five-day ban on the show.
Following Geordie Shore, Allen will also be appearing on the Sixth Series of Ex on the Beach, January 17, 2017 onwards.
