Jeremy Knowland has been looking after UHNW clients at Citi Private Bank since 2005. With a network that spans across the UK and Jersey — and extending to Israel — he is responsible for some of the bank’s most lucrative clients, all of whom have a minimum of $25 million of liquidity. 

‘We can link our UK clients with the US or with any jurisdiction across the world if needed. We can deliver that in a seamless way where others may struggle,’ he tells Spear’s.

The two-time Spear’s Awards nominee takes great pride in Citi’s capability to adapt to change and continue to serve clients through turbulent market conditions. He cites the coronavirus pandemic as one example highlighting the bank’s resilience and innovation. 

In 2020, he had — what was at the time — his best year on record and clients reported high levels of satisfaction with the bank’s priority to ‘touch base’. Its annual event (which was held online) featured guests such as Lord Hague, Condoleezza Rice and Larry Summers. 

Knowland’s professional approach has sought to emulate the bank’s ethos: ‘to offer highly personalised attention to our clients’ needs’, all while encouraging innovation and transformation.
